Quanmax, a well-known embedded computing technology provider, is excited to unveil its next-generation network security appliance, named NWA-6500 Series, powered by Intel's latest server-grade Denverton processors.
This new appliance is designed for small and medium enterprises to enhance protection capacities in a variety network security applications, such as Firewall, UTM, VPN, IPS / IDS, vCPE, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Spam, Web Filter, Bandwidth Manager, Link Load Balancing, etc.
The NWA-6500 Series integrates three network security and availability features. First, the integration with Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) offloads a variety of compression and encryption workloads, such as symmetric / asymmetric encryption, authentication, digital signatures, RSA (Reliability, Availability and Serviceability) / DH (Diffie-Hellman) / ECC (Elliptic-Curve Cryptography) key exchange and lossless data compression, from the main CPU to another dedicated engine to improve the performance and efficiency of the tasks for compression and encryption.
Aslo, it integrates a hardware-based TPM 2.0 security chip inside, providing securer encryption / authentication / identification measures than a software-based solution. Finally, six Gigabit Ethernet ports are integrated into the NWA-6500 Series with two pairs supporting LAN bypass function. Therefore, the appliance not only allows great connectivity / flexible configuration between different external / internal networks to enable reliable and secure network communications, but also ensures uninterrupted network traffic even if a single in-line device fails to work.
